After completing a smaller renovation together, these returning clients were ready to ask much more of their home. This wasn’t about decorating a few rooms. It was about reworking the house so it could support family life, guests, storage, hobbies, music, fitness, laundry, and the daily routines that make a home either easier or harder to live in.

The challenge was scale and complexity. Multiple rooms needed a clearer purpose, better storage, and stronger function, but the home still needed to feel warm, personal, and connected. 

Helen’s organizing background became especially valuable here, because the project required her to see how every space could work harder without making the home feel overly engineered.

Helen helped transform underused and awkward areas into highly functional rooms with personality and purpose. A former guest room and bath became a generous scullery with Dekton counters, full-height storage, a ladder system, custom spice drawers, column pullouts, a drink fridge, a dishwasher, and a full-size sink. A cramped pantry and laundry area became an expanded mudroom with closed custom storage, a long bench, stacked laundry, and usable folding space.

The screened porch became a temperature-controlled sunroom designed for mahjong nights, guests, and evenings spent listening to the crickets outside. The basement gained custom Murphy beds and layered lighting, the music room was soundproofed, and the primary suite was fully reworked with heated floors, a zero-entry shower, custom storage, and a closet designed around the client’s real habits. 

Throughout the home, Helen updated lighting, art, bathrooms, storage, and specialty spaces so the entire house could function with more beauty and more purpose.
